Lodging

Terra Summer Italia’s accommodations are in Spineto’s ancient Tuscan farmhouses – built between the fifteenth and the nineteenth century – which dot the abbey’s landscape. The houses offer deluxe accommodations in a setting dedicated to the appreciation of the land, elegantly balanced between the past and the present.

Il Poderuccio at Lo SpinetoCasino di CacciaFarmhouse with poolSpineto’s farmhouses have been immaculately and elegantly restored, with wooden beams and terracotta floors, with beautiful fireplaces, all painted in warm colors and furnished with refinement. Each house has a distinguished flavor and charm, with gorgeous linens, towels, and draperies; all are full of distinctive art, objects, and furniture.

Each house has seven comparably sized bedrooms, most with twin beds, each with its own bathroom with shower and/or tub. Each house also has its own well-equipped kitchen; beautifully furnished living room and dining room to share leisure time, breakfast, or dinner; and a pool. All the houses offer quiet and privacy, and they also accommodate study, research, and the enjoyment of art, culture, and food.

Terra students and parents are grouped together in three or four houses, depending on enrollment. Each parent-child couple occupies one room of a house. If a parent/guardian brings more than one child, the children will most likely be given a room together and the parent will have a separate room.

The staff of Terra Summer Italia coordinates all housing accommodations with Spineto staff. We are happy to discuss special housing needs. If two sisters, for example, wish to come with their children, we will make a special effort to house you together, if you wish.

Thank you!
