“Terra Summer is a place where learning and fun are blended seamlessly in a way that resonates with the learner forever.”
I love to cook, bake, and garden, so Terra Summer was the perfect place for me. But Terra taught me so much not just about cooking, but about the impact that every person has on the world around them. Terra Summer is a place where learning and fun are blended seamlessly in a way that resonates with the learner forever. The experience of Terra opened my eyes to things I had never seen before, like how small choices can affect people all over the world. Terra showed me that caring is not the burden that it sometimes can seem — it is a joyous experience that can be fun – and it opened my eyes to a world of possibilities that had previously been lost on me.
Terra Summer was one of the best experiences of my life. I cannot say how much Terra has meant to me, nor can I express the want for this experience to continue for a long time. I am ecstatic about the prospect of Terra Summer Italia and would love to attend with my dad!!

Because of the experiences Myles was able to enjoy at Terra Summer, we have all made a conscious effort to live more sustainable lives. Myles has become a catalyst for change in our household: We buy as much organic, locally grown produce as much as possible; after that, Fair Trade is the criteria. We try to incorporate foods from all over the world in our diets and actually have conversations about it. Myles would love to travel the world through food! Now Myles takes pride in helping prepare our meals and I see him trying to figure out how much a meal would cost, and how many people we would be able to feed. Before Terra Summer, it seemed he was oblivious to that. I am grateful to Terra Summer for making that learning possible through a fun, educational experience. It showed Myles and our family how important every single choice we make is and how we all must take responsibility for the care of our planet. Myles still talks about Terra Summer, and he draws plants and documents nature in his journal. Thank you so much. We would love to come to Terra Summer Italia!!!!

Terra Summer is an extraordinary program that is an asset to our area. I am always amazed at the quality of the food that is grown and prepared at Terra. The integrity of the staff and of the overall experience is a model I wish all organizations would strive to match. I am very grateful that Terra Summer is part of my child’s life curriculum. It is a 5-star experience!

Terra Summer changed the way I think about cooking and eating. I used to think that eating responsibly was cost-prohibitive, but now I know that’s not true. I had such a great time at Terra Summer, and I was so proud of what I learned to cook. My favorite thing I learned was how to make bread and pasta. I had always wanted to learn, but I had never been taught. I made such amazing bread I didn’t want to eat it! Now I use what I learned all the time. I also learned a lot about the food we were making: how to grow and harvest it; what it is scientifically, and how it has impacted history. Now I am much more aware about what is behind our food.
Terra Summer changed the way I eat, and therefore my whole life. Very often I talk with my family about what I learned; I know how important it is to think about what we’re eating and the impact it has. The world knowledge I gained there made me a more conscientious person. I learned with the help of a truly wonderful staff, and I knew that they were always there to help me. I made some lasting friends, and had a great time!
